* Create detailed OCS drawings, specifications and cost estimates, and coordinate with a team of other OCS engineers and related disciplines on small, medium or large projects, as required. * Coordination with other OCS engineers and CADD operators to create OCS drawings. We are recruiting an experienced Master Air Contact Systems (CSS) engineer who wants to work on critical infrastructure projects that change the structure of our communities. In this role, you may be located near one of our large Parsons offices in Maryland, California, New York or New Jersey, but you will need to visit project sites if necessary. In this role, you will identify methods and solutions to complex engineering problems and choose the most efficient and cost-effective way to solve them. The successful candidate applies advanced engineering and analytical techniques in the OCS discipline. Willingness to visit different locations on the project occasionally (as required). * Experience in overhead line rail design (OCR) a plus * Performance, excellent written and oral communication skills and familiarity with industry practices and regulations are required * Experience in OCS modeling with CADD 3D software a plus * Preparation of calculations of data sheets, conductor data, structural loads and components, and detailed equipment specifications and designs. * Communicate with clients and attend meetings with internal representatives and 3rd party on behalf of Parsons. * Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. (Knowledge of these CADD programs is an asset.) * Experience in structural design of OCS masts, with various auxiliary cables and equipment and foundations a plus * Create the wiring layout, profile, construction plan, assembly, structure and OCS BOM drawings. * Bachelor`s degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant work experience * Work independently and work well in a team environment.
